Program Administrator (DIIA)

SUMMARY:
Provides direct supervision to Community Center staff and administers all programmatic activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Associate degree in Business Administration or 4 years of experience in an administrative capacity.
• Two years of supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of the Mille Lacs Band governmental system.
• Ability to develop and maintain a good working relationship with the public and Band leadership.
• Ability to work with very little direct supervision.
• Strong PC skills in a Windows environment, including word and spreadsheet applications.
• Current and valid driver’s license, insurable under the Band’s automobile insurance coverage.
• Incumbent must have a dependable personal vehicle.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provides supervision to the Community Center Staff.
• Administers and oversees all programmatic activities in respective District.
• Prepares annual budget for Community Center operations, manages to budget, processes financial transactions related to operation of the Community Center.
• Functions as a liaison among Band members, Band employees, and the Band Administration.
• Functions as a personnel office for the District.
• Coordinates activities with the District Representative Liaison.
• Maintains accurate maintenance and operations records of Band buildings in the assigned District work site.
• Monitors and maintains boiler/furnace conditions.
• Monitors building computer control systems.
• Maintains accurate equipment records and preventative maintenance records.
• Manages vendor relationships as needed.
• Manages the work flow of staff to ensure compliance of policy and procedure across buildings and districts.
• Sets up for community and departmental meetings.
• Facilitates purchase orders and monitors procurement policy for compliance.
• Supervises outer district Environmental Service Technician’s in the assigned building work site.
• Other duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Work is almost exclusively in doors in a controlled climate area.
• Little threat of personal danger or risk.
• Nature of work is such that incumbent experiences infrequent periods of moderate stress levels.
• Hours are typically 8 – 5, but some extra hours may be required from time to time. May also involve some evening or weekend work, depending on activities scheduled at the Community Center.
• Some local travel is required, travel out of state is not required.
