SALARY RANGE: $12.10 to $16.40

SUMMARY:
The Coordinator assists the Hotel Director with the day to day operational duties of the Hotel located at an off-site location on Highway 169.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or GED, and one year post-secondary formal education, required.
• Must have experience in the MLB’s Procurement process.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and abide by ethical behavior, good communication skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate statistical framework for program data collection and reports
• Must have the ability to develop a trusting rapport and work effectively with individuals and families from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds exhibiting understanding, sensitivity and empathy for tenants while maintaining a professional relationship.
Skilled in oral and written communication.
• Skilled in the use of office software applications to prepare reports and use software to develop information; able to enter data in required reports.
• Strong personal computer skills in a Windows environment, including Excel, and Word.
• Must maintain a valid MN driver’s license and be insurable by the Band.
• Must have current valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation.
• Must be insurable under the Mille Lacs Band Drivers Insurance policy.
• Must pass a background check.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Fields phone calls and requests and follow up with the appropriate personnel.
• Assists tenants with connecting with other programs on site to meet their needs.
• Review, sort and distribute incoming mail; operating copiers and other office machines.
• Greet visitors and maintain a professional atmosphere.
• Serves as liaison for tenants to other programs/services.
• Maintain inventory of office supplies.
• Assist maintenance with routine maintenance of the property when needed.
• Manage room inspection records, tenant check in and check out for billing, and keep staff up to date on hotel procedures and safety process.
• Process requisitions, maintain purchase orders, receipts, and process check requests.
• Attend meetings and take notes as needed.
• Assists tenant with completing applications, agreements, and other necessary paperwork.
• Ability to drive Hotel Shuttle to designated drops.
• Other duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Work is almost exclusively indoors in a controlled climate area.
• There is a modest threat of personal danger or risk as the position works with irate people including the criminal elements of the community.
• Nature of work is such that incumbent may experiences intermittent periods of moderate stress.
• Hours are typically 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but some extra hours may be required from time to time, as the Hotel operates 7 days a week 24 hours a day.
• Nature of work is such that incumbent experiences periods of moderate stress levels while dealing with tenants.
