SUMMARY:
As the clinical supervisor this position will oversee the Mille Lacs mental health team and partner with the health services director to oversee behavioral health contracts. The clinical supervisor will ensure adherence to clinical, ethical, and regulatory standards, and bridge the gap between direct care and administration.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Master’s degree in social work (MSW) and an active, independent clinical license (LCSW or LICSW).
• 2–5 years of post-licensure clinical experience required.
• Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a clinical setting, highly preferred.
• Proven leadership and team management skills; comfort with mentoring and coaching for success
• Solid understanding of evidence-based therapies, diagnostic criteria, and local/federal healthcare regulations.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Proficiency in clinical documentation and reporting.
• Advanced communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
• Ongoing commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
• Must have current Minnesota driver’s license.
• Must be insurable under the Mille Lacs Band Drivers Insurance policy.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
• Must pass a federal background check.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide individual clinical supervision, guidance, and support to Mille Lacs Band licensed clinical social workers and mental health therapists.
• Audit clinical documentation and provide guidance on treatment plans and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Conduct case conferences with counselors, managers and other clinical staff weekly.
• Assist staff with escalated clinical issues, crisis interventions, and complex client situations. May carry a smaller, specialized caseload.
• Develop and implement treatment plans for clients based on clinical assessments.
• Monitor and evaluate staff performance and provide regular feedback.
• Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping of all clinical activities.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure integrated service delivery.
• Manage client caseloads and ensure timely and effective delivery service.
• Facilitate communication between staff and leadership.
• Handle escalated clinical issues and client complaints.
• Track and report on clinical metrics and outcomes.
• Participate in recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new clinical staff.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices and industry standards.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
• The nature of work is such that incumbent experiences infrequent periods of modest stress levels due to workload.
• Work is almost exclusively indoors in a controlled climate area.
• The hours are typically 8-5, Monday-Friday, some extra hours may be required. May involve some evening or weekend work for special projects.
