Project Description
The Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe, Department of Natural Resources (MLB/DNR) office will be accepting lump sum proposals for demolition of former residence and structures at 45665 Hwy 169 Onamia, MN 56359.

General Information:
A mandatory site visit is required by all contractors planning to submit a proposal. The site visit will take place on October 13th, 2026 at 10:30 am.

Scope of Work:

• Demolition of identified structures:
  -- Mobile homes, semi-trailer, small storm shelter, any and all concrete, and fish cleaning shack, including all building materials, building contents, and other identified materials.
  -- Well and septic abandonment/closure.
  -- Fill demolition areas to grade with black dirt.
• In addition, the contractor is responsible for:
  -- For securing all required permits and notifications as required by law.
  -- All fees for such permits and notifications.
  -- Copies of such permits and notifications shall be provide to MLB/DNR, County, State, and EPA if needed.
  -- Upon completion of work copies of well abandonment, septic closure certificates and receipts/logs from qualified landfill(s) where all materials were brought must be provided to MLB/DNR.

Required Proposal Content:
All proposals shall include the following:

• Itemized cost for demolition of all structures as described, Well and Septic abandonment/closure, filling of area, and any permit/notification costs
• Estimate of days required to full fill scope of work
• Detailed plan of site safety and security during scope of work

Bidding Notes
All proposals shall include the following:

• Consulting Firm’s Proposal
• Copy of current Mille Lacs Band Vendor’s License (or a copy of submitted application)
• Copy of current Certificate of Insurance for Commercial Liability
• Current W-9
• List of Subcontractors
• Any other information specific to the project as stated in the Request for Proposal

Proposals are due on October 20th, 2026 by 3:00pm.

**Please note that all proposals must be submitted via mail to the P.O. Box. FedEx and UPS will not deliver to a P.O. Box and the Onamia post office will not accept hand delivered items. Please plan accordingly to ensure the timely receipt of your proposal submittal.

PROPOSALS NOT SUBMITTED IN THIS MANNER WILL BE REJECTED.
