PROJECT:
Install all electrical wiring and electrical infrastructure to service a 2-bedroom frost protected slab on grade residential structure to include required trenching from power source to the structure. All bidders should include a per foot charge for trenching equal to 100’. Bidding Contractors will be responsible for all items related to the installation of electrical service by current residential codes.

The Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe, Community Development/Housing Department will be accepting sealed bids for the installation of all-electrical infrastructure required to service a single level 2-bedroom residential structure with attached garage, located at 45031 Waawaashkeshi Ct Onamia, MN. 56359

Bids will be due Friday 21 August 2026 at 3:00 PM. Bids will be opened and qualified by the Mille Lacs of Ojibwe on Monday 24 August 2026 at 10:00 AM.

General Notes:

1. It is the Sub-Contractors responsibility to identify all discrepancies in the scope of work, not meeting Industry Standards or that which is inconsistent with the International Building Code (IBC) and Project design documents as prepared by the Architect.
2. Mille Lacs Band Housing In-House General Contractor will secure building permits for this project
3. Electrical Sub-Contractor will be responsible for coordinating all inspections required for the installation, rough in and final. Electrical inspection must be preformed according to Minnesota State requirements.
4. Contractor shall be responsible for all debris removal related to work performed under this work scope.
   Community Development/Housing will, to the greatest extent feasible, give preference in the award of contract to Indian Organizations and Indian-Owned Enterprises.

Work Scope:

Project Narrative:
The Mille Lacs Bands Community Development/Housing Department will be constructing a 2-bedroom frost protected slab on grade residential structure. The structure is approximately 830 SQFT. Finished main level, 65 SQFT. Unfinished Mech, 895 SQFT. Total Main Level. 364 SQFT Attached Garage Area.

Work will include installing all electrical infrastructure required to service a 2-bedroom slab on grade residential structure according to current electrical codes. Mille Lacs Band Housing will provide all ceiling fixtures. Contractor must provide all other items required for this install.

1. Refer to Croix Drafting & Design INC. blueprints for this project identified as Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe. Project blueprints and electrical specifications will be provided to bidding Sub-Contractors. Please Email mike.nickaboine@millelacsband.com to obtain those items.
2. Electrical Sub-Contractor will perform all activities related to the installation of the electrical systems as defined in the construction blueprint and the Mille Lacs Bands electrical specifications.
3. Bid must be honored for 90 calendar days.
4. Project is sales tax exempt. Awarded contractor will be provided with the tax exemption form STS3.
5. Anticipated project schedule is September 2026
6. Contractors must use specified electrical products as listed in the MLB electrical specifications or approved equals.

Bids are due in the PO Box on August 21st, 2026, at 5:00pm. A public bid opening will be held at 9:00am on August 24th, 2026, at the Mille Lacs Band Government Center.
