THIS IS NOT A CHANGE ORDER NOR A DIRECTION TO PROCEED WITH THE WORK DESCRIBED HEREIN.

Project Description:
The Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe, Department of Natural Resources (MLB DNR) office will be accepting the lump sum proposal for demolition of:

1. 64822 Ojibwe Road, Sandstone, MN 55072
2. 64565 Ojibwe Road, Sandstone, MN 55972

General Information:
A mandatory site visit is required by all contractors planning to submit a proposal. The site visit will take place on August 18, 2026 at 10:30 am.

Scope of Work:

• Demolition of identified buildings
  -- Including all building materials, building contents, and other identified materials including proper removal of ACM (asbestos containing material) in 64822 Ojibwe Road, will provide EPA report.
  -- Removal and disposal of all concrete/block/brick and debris.
  -- Seal and abandon identified well/s with proper paperwork required
  -- Pump and abandon septic with proper paperwork.
  -- Pump and abandon/remove septic tank at 64565 Ojibwe Road.
• Fill to grade and finish with black dirt area of removal/demolitions.
• In addition, the contractor is responsible for:
  -- For securing all required permits and notifications as required by law.
  -- All fees for such permits and notifications
  -- Copies of such permits and notifications shall be provide to MLB DNR, County, State, and EPA if needed
  -- Upon completion of work copies of closure forms, receipts/logs from qualified landfill(s) where all materials were brought must be provided to MLB DNR

Required Proposal Content:
All proposals shall include the following:

• Itemized cost for building demolition, proper required disposal of known ACM, filling of area, and any permit/notification costs.
• Estimate of days required to full fill scope of work.
• Detailed plan of site safety and security during scope of work.

Bidding Notes
All proposals shall include the following:

• Consulting Firm’s Proposal
• Copy of current Mille Lacs Band Vendor’s License (or a copy of submitted application)
• Copy of current Certificate of Insurance
• Current W-9
• List of Subcontractors if applicable
• Any other information specific to the project as stated in the RFP

All proposals must be mailed and labeled as follows:

Proposals are due on Tuesday August 25th 2026, by 3:00pm.

**Please note that all proposals must be submitted via mail to the P.O. Box. FedEx and UPS will not deliver to a P.O. Box and the Onamia post office will not accept hand delivered items. Please plan accordingly to ensure the timely receipt of your proposal submittal.

PROPOSALS NOT SUBMITTED IN THIS MANNER WILL BE REJECTED.
